Office 2016 is the latest office product from Microsoft.  It includes Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and OneNote. You can connect to your OneDrive, cloud storage, by signing in, when using these products.

How do I get Office 2016 on my work computer?

Office 2016 will be upgrading all state-owned computers, Mac and PC, to the current release of Office 2016 as the first phase of the Office 365 Email and Calendar project. The upgrade will begin Monday, November 9th and continue through Monday, November 30th. The installations take place remotely by building and and begin the at 11pm the night before the date list in the email, dated Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

How many devices can I install Office 2016 on?

You can download and install Office on up to 5 personal devices, such as computers, laptops, and phones, according to our licensing.  Currently, Office 2016 is available for Mac computers only.  In February 2016, Office 2016 will be available for personal computers. In the interim, Office 2013 is available for download and install on Personal Computers.

How do I get Office on my non-work computer?

You can install Office 2013/2016 on up to five personal devices, including Mac and PCs.

Personal Computers

In February 2016, Office 2016 will be available for personal computers. In the interim, Office 2013 is available for download and install on Personal Computers. For instructions on downloading and installing Office 2013 (PC), please refer to the Download and Install Office for PC (pdf).

Mac Computers

Office 2016 is available for download and install for Mac Computers.  For instructions on downloading and installing Office 2016, please refer to the Download and Install Office for Mac (pdf).


When I download Office on my personal computer, why does it install Office 2013?

Until February 2016, Office 2013 is the version available for download and install for personal computers, based on our licensing.
