It is a club for men of color to speak freely while being comfortable expressing themselves and their viewpoints. The Excel Scholars Club provides academic support and guidance, cultural understanding, leadership development, and mentoring to male students of color. The Club hosts programs and activities that help build community and camaraderie on the CSUB campus.
Excel Scholars Club meetings are held once a month. Meeting topics include leadership, social justice, and personal and professional development.
The Excel Scholars club is open to all CSUB students who would like to participate, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin.
