Advising Appointments For:
Incoming Transfer Students
Step 1
Apply to CSUB by the application deadline.
Step 2
Accept your admissions and submit your intent to enroll on your MyCSUB. For information on how to do this, please visit the Admission's website for admitted incoming transfer students.
Step 3
Submit ALL transcripts from community colleges and/or universities you attended, and general education certifications or IGETC (if applicable).
Submit official scores for any exams that you may have passed (i.e. AP, IB, and/or CLEP).
Step 4
An Admissions Specialist will validate all of your grades and test scores. Once completed, they will notify a Transfer Credit Specialist.
- Please Note: An Admissions Specialist will not validate until all of your transcripts and/or test scores have been received. This means you can't receive an advising appointment until all of your transcripts and/or test scores are sent to CSUB.
Step 5
A Transfer Credit Specialist will input all of your transfer credit and/or test scores into your "Transfer Credit: Report" on your MyCSUB. Once this is complete, you will receive an e-mail to your csub.edu email address indicating your transfer credit and/or test scores have been evaluated and you will be placed on the "Ready to Advise" list.
Step 6
Your advising center will view the "Ready to Advise" list and add the students on that list to their advising appointment campaign within Runner Connect. The advising appointment campaign will e-mail you at your csub.edu email address asking you to make your appointment. Please make your appointment. Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can read the directions on how to log into your csub.edu e-mail address or call our IT Help Desk at 661-654-4357.
Step 7
After making your advising appointment, please prepare for your appointment. Remove any holds on your MyCSUB account that are not "Advising Hold - No Enrl". That specific hold will be removed during your advising appointment.
