Dr. Victoria W. Morris
Dr. Victoria W. Morris was appointed Interim Vice President of People and Culture
at
California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) on June 15, 2026.
Previously, she served as Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Payroll Services at California State University, East Bay. Prior to joining the Hayward campus, Dr. Morris was director of Human Resources at California State University, Fullerton from 2015 to 2019 and director of career development at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., from 2013 to 2015. Before launching her career in academia, Dr. Morris served in a variety of management positions in the private sector.
Among Dr. Morris’ academic credentials are a Doctor of Philosophy, Education, from Chapman University; Master of Science, Gerontology, from the University of Southern California; Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne; and Bachelor of Science, Gerontology, from USC.
The duration of Dr. Morris’ appointment as Interim Vice President for People and Culture is 18 months. At the conclusion of her appointment, CSUB will launch a nationwide search for the next permanent Vice President for People and Culture.
