Advising Appointments for Transfer Students

You will not be able to see an advisor until you have accepted your admissions on your MyCSUB and sent the following to our Admissions office:

  • Your transcripts from all Community Colleges and/or Universities you attended.
  • Any exams that you may have passed like AP, IB, or CLEP.

Once our evaluator inputs those courses/exams into your transfer credit on your MyCSUB, you will then be added to the “Ready to Advise” list. Advisors only advise students on this list. Advising starts November 14, 2022.

We run our "Ready to Advise" list and e-mail students on that list to make an appointment every week, starting October 31, 2022.

  • Submit transcripts from high school. If you completed courses at another University or Community College, you would need to have those transcripts sent to our Admissions office as well.
  • Any exams that you may have passed like AP, IB, or CLEP.

Stay Connected

Check your MyCSUB and campus email accounts often. You are responsible for staying informed about your admissions status.

Your To-Do List

Your To-Do list can be found on your MyCSUB. Turn in transcripts and all listed documents by the deadline.

Clear Holds

Check your MyCSUB account for any holds which will keep you from being able to register for courses. Click on the details to see which office at CSUB has placed the hold and instructions to get the hold removed.
