CSUB American Red Cross (ARC) First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Program
The Student Recreation Center offers American Red Cross certification classes in CPR/AED and First Aid.
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches participants to recognize and care for a variety of injuries and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for two years.
The course is in a Blended Learning format which combines online learning with classroom training. Participants who register for these classes must complete all online materials before the classroom portion of the class in order to complete the course. The online portion will be emailed to participants via the email included with the registration no later than one business day before the start of the course.

Custom Classes
The SRC will schedule custom classes for groups of five or more. Ideal for departments, organizations, or businesses that want/need to get ARC certifications.
Note: Minimum enrollment for a class is five (5) individuals. If the minimum for a class is not met, the option for a full refund or rescheduling for a later course date will be offered.
If your American Red Cross certification is about to expire or has already expired, you are eligible to renew the following way:
* A Challenge is a testing session only. There is no review or teaching component. The challenger has sole responsibility for reviewing the course material and preparing for the knowledge and skill evaluation. The challenger must demonstrate skill competency and will have only one chance to do so. If the challenger fails any part of the challenge, they must successfully take a class in order to receive certification.
Class Days and Times
Class dates and times are Fridays from 5:00-7:00pm.
Registration is due Wednesday by 5:00PM prior to week of the scheduled class.
