Program Information
3-Day Program: August 5-7, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Check-in for the program will be in the Student Union Multipurpose Room (MPR) from 8:30-9:00 am
on day 1, August 5th (See campus map below).
- Parking is free in LOT K1 (See campus map below). If you park anywhere else on campus,
you could receive a ticket.
- Lunch will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle as there are filling
stations in the Multipurpose Room and around campus.
- If you have not completed an academic advising appointment, please do that as soon
as possible. The Puente! Program will end at ~3:30 each day, if you want to schedule
an appointment an appointment after that time.
- If you have a personal computer, please bring it to campus for Day 1 and Day 3 of
the program.
- If you do not have a personal computer and want to check out a campus laptop you can
do that ahead of time. However, you must be enrolled in classes when you check out
the computer. Computer check out will be at the end of the day Tuesday or before our
program on Wednesday. More details on Day 1!
- You will receive an email from your summer English instructor and a link to a Canvas course. Don’t panic! This is not a graded course with assignments, but it will give you access to some useful online modules to refresh your writing skills prior to the face-to-face morning sessions in the program. This will be extremely valuable to you as you begin your classes at CSUB by getting you ready for upper division writing.
- As a reminder, if you complete All portions of the Puente! Program, we will provide
you with a grant to cover the cost of your campus orientation fee ($105!). More details
will be discussed during the program.

Registration Information
The program is FREE to the first 100 transfer students who have been admitted to CSUB for the fall 2025 semester! If you complete the program we will also pay the $105 mandatory campus orientation fee.
