About the TEC
The Technology Engagement Center is hosted by the Academic Technology division of Information Technology Services. The Technology Engagement Center (TEC) is a hub for gaming, creativity, and community on campus.

CSUB Runner Pass
CSUB Runner Pass has gone digital! You can complete your digital ID from home or if you need help with your Runner Pass the TEC can help.
At the TEC you can pick up your physical id (addtional charge) and get your ID photo taken (free).

Gaming
Game on our 20 Windows gaming PCs, jump on a console, or bring your own—just make sure to bring any cables you need beyond HDMI.
Looking for something unplugged? We’ve got tabletop games too.

Academic Computing
Need a place to focus without feeling stuck in a lab? We’ve got 16 workstations ready to go—8 Dell PCs and 8 Macs.
All systems include standard lab software, plus access to color printing.
Standard software is installed to allacadmeic machines. Addtional software is approved but may not be installed. If the approved software is not installed please speak with the front desk to have it added.

FabLab
The CSUB FabLab on campus provides a variety of services at material cost only to the campus community. With the support of the FabLab we house some 3D printers as an extension of the FabLab Annex located on the 2nd floor of the Walter Stiern Library.
At the TEC, if you provide filament we are happy to start a 3D print for you on our A1 Mini.
After you visit us don’t forget to stop by the FabLab where you can 3D print, mill, design, laser cut, and turn your designs into reality.
Community
Just need a break? The TEC isn’t only for gaming.
Hang out with friends, relax between classes, or grab an open table to talk, plan, or unwind. Our community spaces are built for chilling, connecting, and taking a breather on campus.
