Become an HESF Sponsor
Since its inception in 1984, the Hispanic Excellence Scholarship Fund (HESF) at California State University, Bakersfield has assisted more than 1,700 academically-excellent and financially-deserving students from throughout the region to pursue their dream of higher education. Nearly each one has been the first in their family to have the opportunity to do so. HESF graduates have gone on to contribute to our community's development by building strong families and becoming teachers, doctors, business professionals, and responsible community leaders. You and your family can be a part of the legacy of this important program by becoming an HESF individual or business sponsor, or a family/memorial scholarship sponsor.
HESF family and memorial scholarship sponsors pledge in the name of their families, business, or in memory of a loved one, to support HESF with an annual contribution of $1,000. A handsome plaque is created and presented to each family. Each family receives two tickets to the annual HESF Scholarship Awards Dinner where their outstanding support is recognized. Annually, a brass plate with the name of a new HESF student is added to their family plaque.
Make HESF a part of your family's legacy!
The HESF program offer all sponsors the opportunity to give more than just your initial investment. The HESF program will match your donation with a 1:1 match, meaning your sponsorship is doubled (i.e., each $1,000 donation with HESF + $1,000 match = one $2,000 scholarship).
The HESF goal: 30 scholarships at $2,000 each.
