HD-CAFS has CSUB's First OER Degree

The Department of Human Development, and Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies was recognized by the Chancellor's Office for offering the first Open Educational Resources (OER) degree with no textbook costs for students at CSUB.  HD-CAFS is an Award-winning department with both the first OER Major (2019), and now the first OER degree pathway (Fall 2023). Cost savings for students has been more than $220,000 dollars contributing to reducing educational costs, reducing equity gaps, and increasing retention to graduation. Congratulations to HD-CAFS faculty for their efforts in supporting student success.
