CSUB supporters become Advocates when they email, write, call, or visit legislators about specific issues. We also invite Advocates to share their support for CSUB with friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Advocates can be as involved as they want and can take positions only on those issues that they wish to take. If a supporter does not agree with CSUB's position on an issue, they can pass on any issue as participation is completely voluntary.

CSUB hosts Annual Legislative Days which are open to Advocates. The University takes a team of Advocates to the event and schedules visits with local area legislators.

Advocates benefit from participation by:

• Assuring that CSUB is a significant provider of economic strength to the state and the nation
• Providing for future generations to enjoy and benefit from strong affordable higher educational opportunities

Advocacy works because legislators value Advocate's opinions and respect their interest in CSUB and the future of California's students.
