Eligibility

• Each team must include at least two students and one faculty or staff advisor from a CSU campus.
• Projects must be hosted by and take place on a CSU campus and be led by the grantee team.
• Cross-campus and community collaborations are encouraged.

Funding

• Awards up to $5,000 per project.
• Eligible uses include supplies, speaker honoraria, event promotion, catering, educational programs, and project-related accommodations.
• Ineligible uses include alcohol, political campaign activities, tuition, scholarships, endowments, lobbying, capital expenditures, and general operational or indirect costs.

Required Application Components

• Faculty/staff name, student names (two), and contact information.
• Project Summary/Description (500 words).
• Connection to Initiative Outcomes/Goals.
• Timeline of activities overview.
• Budget, organized by major line-item categories and total amount requested.
• Brief letter of institutional support from a dean or provost.
• Institutional Grant Office Contact Information.

Recipient expectations

• Faculty/staff advisor and two students complete 5-hour online interfaith leadership certification.
• Faculty/staff advisor and two students attend CSU Dialogues Across Difference Virtual Half-Day Symposium.
• Grantee team participate in a virtual check-in with project director.
• Grant activities must be implemented between February and May 2027.
• Completion of post-project survey with documentation and deliverables, including a final team reflection.

• Engagement of diverse faith and worldview perspectives.
