What We Do

The Transfer Resource Center staff and peer mentors are here to help assist you and transfer students through the admissions process and provide them with the necessary resources, so they may be successful at CSUB. The Transfer Resource team works closely with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Registrar, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, and the four Academic Advising centers.

The Transfer Resource Center assists prospective students with:

  • Application Assistance: Need help with your Cal State Apply application? Our ambassadors are ready to assist you either in person at the center or online through our Virtual Information Desk.
  • Transfer Recruitment Events: The Transfer Resource Center will assist our community college partners with various workshops throughout the year to assist students. Workshops may include, Cal State Apply admissions workshops, Next Steps, and Blue and Gold takeovers, just to name a few.

The Transfer Resource Center aids currently enrolled transfer students with:

  • Transfer Connect: Is a workshop series that strives to introduce transfer students to various campus resources, opportunities, and academic strategies. Our goal is to host events and programs that provide transfer students with the opportunity to get to know fellow students. The workshops and activities are facilitated by campus representatives and tailored to transfer students' needs.
  • Transfer Success Zone: The center provides a community space and a welcoming environment for transfer students to build a shared community of support, learning and networking. The front desk is staffed by transfer peer mentors who can assist in answering questions and connecting students to campus resources. The center offers a study space, comfortable chairs, printing resources and laptop charging.
  • Peer Connection Network: Our tUniversity Ambassadors are a group of experienced students who are available to discuss academic expectations, effective strategies for academic success, study tips and much more. They can share their wisdom and knowledge with you as a CSUB student.

We are a resource for:

  • Strengthening internal campus networks to support transfer students, and identify and remove systemic barriers to student success
  • Maintaining expertise on best practice in support of effective transfer
  • Assisting the campus community in connecting with our community college partners
