Excel 2016 and Pivot Tables
In this session, you will learn how to create pivot tables using data from the Finance Data Warehouse, myCSUB, and a self-created table.
Session Length: 2 hours
Intended Audience: Any CSUB Staff or Faculty
Prerequisites: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel 2016
Format: Presentation and Hands-on activities
SESSION OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session, the participants will be able to:
- Distinguish between tables and pivot tables
- Identify the basic pivot table types
- Describe the pivot table environment
- Create pivt tables using student and financial data
- Perform custom sorts
- Enhance pivot tables
- Apply filters and slicers
