Once you are admitted to CSUB, an I-20 will be issued. We will send you an email with instructions on how to pay for expedited shipping of your I-20. Make sure to have at least six months of validity on your passport from the day you plan to enter the United States. You can enter the United States up to 30 days before your program start date.
Once you receive your I-20, pay your i901 fee. Then, contact your respective Consulate to make an appointment to obtain your visa. Visit the United States Embassy website to find the Consulate closest to you.
For more information on submitting a student visa application, visit the official Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs website. Your visa can only be renewed outside of the United States.
