Recommended Vaccinations

California State University (CSU) strongly encourages students to obtain the following immunizations. Please note that these are not required, but are highly recommended.

Hepatitis A (Hep A) All students; 2 dose series
Hepatitis B (Hep B) Students age 19 and older; 2 or 3 dose series, or positive titer
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Students age 26 and younger
Influenza (Flu) All students; Annually
Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) All students; 2 doses on or after 1st birthday, or positive titer
Meningococcal Conjugate (ACWY) Students age 16 - 21; 1 dose on or after 16th birthday
Meningococcal B (Meningitis B) Students age 16 - 23; 2 or 3 dose series
Pneumococcal

Students age 19 - 64 with certain medical conditions
(severe asthma, diabetes, chronic liver or kidney disease, etc.)

Poliovirus (Polio) Students who did not have the series completed as a child
Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (Tdap) Students age 11 - 64; 1 dose on or after 7th birthday; booster doses administered once every 10 years
Varicella (Chickenpox) All students; 2 doses on or after 1st birthday, or positive titer
Immunizations for International Travel Based on destination
