On April 9, the California Energy Research Center at CSUB hosted its annual conference on the future of energy in the state. CSUB Geology featured prominently in the event, with Dr. Liaosha Song chairing a session on critical minerals (which included a talk from California's State Geologist, Jeremy Lancaster), alumnus Ken Haney chairing a session on petroleum and well management, and Dr. Matt Herman giving a talk on induced seismicity in a session on underground carbon storage.
