Future `Runner Day

Future `Runner Day 2025 - Saturday, April 5, 2025

Future `Runner Day is to provide an open house day for all fall 2025 admitted students and their families to get excited about the campus and commit to attend CSUB. This event will offer campus tours, showcases, and presentations from our various schools. Admitted students should expect additional communication as the event date approaches. We look forward to seeing you. Go `Runners!

Please RSVP under the campus that you will be attending this fall 2025. CSUB will provide free transportation to main campus for students from Antelope Valley who wish to attend.

Day of Event

Our event will begin promptly at 9am in the Icardo Center. Please arrive early. Check-in will begin at 8am. Enter campus from Camino Media (south side of campus) at Roadrunner Drive. Parking lots H and I are the closest to the Icardo Center and the preferred lots.

Parking is complementary in all CSUB lots.

FAQs

Is Future `Runner Day Mandatory?

Future `Runner Day is not mandatory but is encouraged. This is a preview day for admitted fall 2025 students and their families to visit and tour campus. Those students who commit to attending CSUB will be invited to a mandatory orientation at a later date.

What Time Does This Event Begin/end?

9am - 2pm.

Where Should I Go When I Arrive to Campus?

Icardo Center. Use our 3D campus map.

What Should I Bring?

Incoming first-year students are encouraged to bring their official in-progress high school transcripts. Incoming transfer students are encouraged to bring their official in-progress or final college transcripts.

Where Can I Park, and Will I Have to Pay?

All our parking lots will be open this day and parking will be complimentary for our visitors. The preferred parking lots for this event will be lots H and I near the Icardo Center (please refer to our campus map).

What If I Require Assistance Getting to and from A Location?

We will have staff and golf carts available to assist anyone who needs help getting to and from our various locations.

Will Food Be Provided?

We will offer light continental refreshments that morning. We will also have various food trucks and campus eateries open with food/drinks for purchase.

Will I Be Able to Commit to Attend CSUB on This Day?

Yes! We will have an area where students can submit their Intent to Enroll and receive some CSUB swag once they do.

Will I Be Able to Tour Campus Facilities?

We will have various campus tours occurring this day (full campus, Student Recreation Center, Walter Stiern Library, Student Housing, school buildings, etc.). Additionally, we will have various presentations and school showcases.

Can I Bring My Family?

Yes, we encourage students to bring their families to this event.

Can We Bring Dogs to This Event?

Although we love our fur babies, only service animals will be allowed this day.

What Happens If I Don't RSVP?

We strongly encourage all students to RSVP so our campus can plan accordingly.

Can I Still Attend This Event Even If I Am Not Sure If I Will Be Choosing CSUB?

Absolutely! This event is to give students a preview of CSUB and all that it has to offer. We hope you will choose CSUB!

What Should I Wear?

Dress comfortably and wear comfortable walking shoes. March weather in Bakersfield can be unpredictable, so dressing in layers is best. Our CSUB Bookstore will also be open if you would like to purchase CSUB gear.
