College Corps

College Corps Fellowship Overview 

The #CaliforniansForAll College Corps is the first state-funded service opportunity for all undergraduate students including AB540 eligible Dreamers. This program helps make college more affordable for thousands of California students by allowing them to receive up to $10,000 in stipends towards their degree when they commit to serve for a year.

  • August 2023 - May 2024
What We’re Looking For
 
*Undergraduate students including AB540 eligible Dreamers
• Passion for working in partnership with communities to make positive change; 
• Flexibility to work in different areas and adapt to changing circumstances;
• Growth mindset and eagerness to try new things;
• Interest in connecting with and learning from other students and partners across the state; 
 • Willingness to be an ambassador for the Fellowship on campus and beyond. 
 
 What You’ll Do
 
Fellows will work with K-12 schools, food banks / pantries, or climate action organizations to build healthier and more equitable communities across California and Kern County. 
 
What You’ll Gain
 
*A living allowance paid throughout service term, plus an Education Award paidupon completion of 450 service hours. Total financial benefit up to $10,000.

*Connections with Fellows across the state via a virtual community platform and in-person regional events

Where You’ll Serve 
 
College Corps at Calfornia State University, Bakersfield offers service positions in local nonprofits and municipal agencies within a reasonable distance from campus or on campus.
