Dr. Aaron Hegde
Aaron Hegde is Professor of Economics at CSU Bakersfield. He is also the Executive
Director of the Grimm Family Center for Agricultural Business. His areas of research
are broad but mostly focused on agriculture and other regional economic issues. After
receiving his PhD in Agricultural Economics from North Carolina State University in
Raleigh, NC and spending a couple of years at the Pennsylvania State University, Dr.
Hegde moved to Bakersfield in 2003. Among his many service contributions to the university,
he is most proud of starting the BS degree in Agricultural Business, which continues
to grow with the help of the community.
