Audubon Kern River Environmental Studies Area
The Audubon Bakersfield Environmental Studies Area (BESA) is an area along the Kern River that is just north of campus and Stockdale Highway. The area is available for student and faculty research projects and is home to an interesting and diverse assemblage of plant and animals. A plant list of the cite can be found here: BESA plant list.
