Concentration

Each concentration requires six courses as outlined below (note: 400-level studio classes may be repeated up to three times for credit)
Ceramics: ART 309, 310 and 410 (x 3), plus one

course selected from ART 303-308 or 313 and one further upper division course in studio art (ART 303-313, 403-413, 477)

Painting: ART 303, 304, and 404 (x 3), plus one course selected from ART 305-310 or 313 and one further upper division course in studio art (ART 303-313, 403-413, 477)

Photography: ART 219, 308, 408 or 412 (x 3), plus one course selected from ART 303-307, 309-313

Printmaking and Drawing: ART 303, 304, 305, 306, 403 and 406, plus one further upper division course in studio art (ART 303-313, 403-413, 477)

Sculpture: ART 309, 310 or 313, and ART 409 (x 3), plus one course selected from ART 303-308

A double major or approved 20-unit minor is required for the Studio Art concentration.

 This degree emphasis fulfills the Waiver Requirements of the California Commission for Teacher Credentialing (CTCC) for the Single Subject Program in Art.
