Fall 2026 PG-NEC Application Process

Step 1: CSUB Application

FILING PERIOD: JANUARY 1, 2026 - MAY 1, 2026

• Apply to Cal State Apply.
• Official transcripts and other university requirements must be submitted and received in the Office of Admissions and Records in order for your university application to be reviewed and processed.

Step 2: PG-NEC Program Application

FILING PERIOD: JANUARY 1, 2026 - MAY 15, 2026 (8:59 PM PST)

• Apply to the PG-NEC Program through NursingCAS.
• Note: In NursingCAS, search for:
  • School: California State University-Bakersfield
  • Program: Select "PG-NEC"

Step 3: Program Evaluation Fee

DUE DATE: MAY 22, 2026

A $50 (non-refundable) nursing application evaluation fee is required and must be mailed directly to the CSUB Department of Nursing. This is separate from the application fee required from Cal State Apply and NursingCAS.  

For money orders and checks, please make it out to "CSUB Department of Nursing."
