Committees
Breakthrough to Nursing
- Establishes peer relationships between high school, pre-health students, and current nursing students
- Focused on increasing the number and diversity of nurses and nursing students
- Partners with the Girl Scouts, Brooklynn's Box, CSUB pre-health students, and local high schools
Community Health
- Organizes and coordinates community projects
- Gives nursing students opportunities to practice skills and ultivate leadership
- Partners with Ronald McDonald House, Relay for Life, Campout for Cancer, and the local Girl Scout troops
Mentorship
- Provides guidance and mentorship to current and incoming nursing students
- Assigns sophomore nursing students an upperclassmen mentor who can help them have a smooth transition into their first year of nursing
- Holds educational workshops for all class levels
Convention
- Organizes paperwork and materials needed for upcoming conventions
- Works closely with other officers in leadership positions
- Opportunity to attend the State and National Conventions
