Information Technology Event Services

About Us

The Academic Technology Events team provides live services and equipment rentals to the CSUB campus for on site use. Campus academic departments, clubs, and organizations are eligible to rent equipment and obtain services at reduced rates.

Our equipment and services are requested through the campus 25Live event system. For questions on submitting requests, please see your department scheduler or club advisor.

Our ITS Events staff operates during regular business hours Monday-Friday from 8am - 5pm.

Additonal Information

ITS Events department is no longer accepting new requests to operate or rent out our large multi-camera and microphone production system. If you are in need of a full production system, please submit your request at least 4 weeks in advance for a referal to our contracted vendor.

If you have questions you can submit a support request directed to the Academic Technology team at servicecenter@csub.edu.

  • Submit an event request in the campus 25Live event scheduling system.
  • Add "ITS Consultation" as a resource in 25Live
  • ITS staff will contact you to go over your event and discuss how we can assist with fulfilling the request.
  • The consultation will include any costs, alternatives, and/or vendor referral when applicable.
  • Once the event has concluded ITS will bill (if required) for any balances due.

If your department intends to purchase event equipment, ITS requires consultation with ITS Events staff prior to purchase. Failure to consult with ITS Events staff prior to purchase may result in a purchase denial during the procurement process. To initiate a consultation with ITS Events staff please email us at itsevents@csub.edu.
If your requested device requires a network connection you will also need to consult with ITS Solutions Consulting before the device will be allowed to connect to the campus network. The solutions consulting process can be started by submitting the Solutions Consulting Request form.

The deadline for requesting live event support staff, equipment, or WiFi access is 10 business days prior to the event.
All requests should be submitted though 25Live by your departments designated scheduler.
Any intial event requests, equipment changes, and live support change requests that can be fulfilled and are received with less than 10 business days of the event are subject to a $100 late fee.
Event setups, support, and tear down are available during normal business hours, M-F 8am-5pm.  ITS Events may be able to provide services M-Th from 5pm to 10pm, outside of normal business hours (OBH), at the OBH service rate. Event requests outside of the normal business window or the OBH business window will be referred to an ITS Events Approved Vendor.

The staff rate is $120/hour. Extended hours require a 3 hour minumum per assigned ITS staff member. Staff in full attendance of your event is not guaranteed and is subject to staff availability.

Guess access for wifi and/or computer access codes can be requested through 25Live for an event. For guest access needs seperate from an event please complete the request on our Guest Access request page. Guest Access is charged by number of requests.
