The Amgen Scholars Program at Harvard is a 10-week residential summer research program for undergraduates interested doing research in biotechnology and related biomedical sciences.

Coastal Science and Policy Masters Program

Our ideal Repass-Rodgers Fellow shows leadership promise, eagerness to focus their capstone project on applying science towards policy change, interest in building public support for salmon restoration, strong capacity to collaborate with diverse partners, and is an effective communicator. This highly competitive fellowship covers two academic years of in-state tuition, student fees (including health insurance), a living stipend (including academic year and modest summer support) and some travel and supplies.

Computational Science Graduate Fellowship

Established in 1991 and funded by the DOE Office of Science and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the program trains top leaders in computational science. As of Sept. 1, the DOE CSGF has onboarded more than 675 students across 34 cohorts and representing a total of 84 Ph.D. institutions. More than 500 program alumni work in an expanding number of fields that support computing's capacity to address problems important to the nation’s future.

UCLA Graduate Programs in Bioscience Open House

Graduate Programs in Bioscience is a consortium of 12 home areas and their affiliated Ph.D. programs, organized to provide the best possible research training and professional development for graduate students pursuing Ph.D.s in the life and biomedical sciences. UCLA has a long tradition of excellence and leadership in the biomedical and life sciences and in developing innovative and effective graduate training programs. In 1993, UCLA developed the ACCESS program, one of the nation’s first unified admissions and first year training programs for graduate students entering bioscience Ph.D. programs.

STEMSEAS Student Experiences Aboard Ships

STEMSEAS aims to provide ship-based, 6-10 day exploratory experiences for undergraduates from diverse backgrounds aboard NSF-funded research vessels. Students will sail with experienced faculty and graduate student near-peer mentors, and engage in geoscience and oceanography activities (while also having fun)!

MU Alcohol Research Training Summer School & Internship

MU-ARTSS provides an intensive week-long introduction to alcohol research, coupled with an 8-week paid internship ($5,000 stipend plus room and board) for each student to be mentored by alcohol researchers in the Department of Psychological Sciences and Department of Psychiatry. The program aims to increase the pipeline of scientists among minority and nonminority undergraduates who are interested in pursuing careers in alcohol research and is supported by an institutional training grant through the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).

Paid Summer Internship at Cornell University: Explore Careers in Geoscience

CorGGLE is a nine-week summer program that allows students from non-geoscience fields to explore opportunities for geoscience graduate study, specifically giving them exposure to myriad socially relevant careers in the geosciences. Students will conduct a research project with distinguished faculty and staff, present their work, learn about geoscience careers from practitioners, receive training in professional skills and network with others in their field of interest through weekly luncheons.

Sustainability Undergraduate Research in Geoscience and Engineering Program

SURGE is an 8-week summer program for undergraduate students new to research who want to explore sustainability in an inclusive community. Funded by the National Science Foundation and the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, each scholar is paired with a faculty mentor to work on a research project. Participants engage in educational field trips, career panels, academic seminars, and workshops on science communication and graduate school applications. The program concludes with a research symposium on August 15, 2025, where scholars present their work to the Stanford community.

2025 COAST Internship Program

The CSU Council on Ocean Affairs, Science & Technology (COAST) is offering paid internships for continuing CSU undergraduate and graduate students for Summer 2025​. Interns will be placed with a host institution where they will work side-by-side with professionals on current scientific research, policy, and resource management projects.
