V.S.Hegde Memorial Scholarship
The V. S. Hegde Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Mr. V. S. Hegde,
an engineer and accountant who believed deeply in the transformative power of education.
Raised in a long line of farmers, Mr. Hegde courageously chose to pursue higher education
despite initial family reservations. Through patience and conviction, he helped his
father and uncles see the value of a college education—a belief he later passed on
to his own children.
Throughout his life, Mr. Hegde was a generous mentor and steadfast advocate for young
people seeking to attend college, always ready to encourage, guide, and help whenever
he could. This scholarship reflects his enduring commitment to opening doors and supporting
students as they pursue their educational dreams.

Grimm Family Center for AGBS (GFCAB) Scholarship
The Grimm Family Center for AGBS Scholarship reflects a deep commitment to supporting
students who are passionate about agriculture and the vital role it plays in our communities.
Established to serve as a bridge between agricultural education and the agriculture
industry, the center is dedicated to helping students connect their academic experiences
with meaningful careers in the field.
This scholarship honors the hard work, promise, and contributions of agriculture students
at California State University, Bakersfield, and recognizes those who are preparing
to carry their knowledge forward into the industry with purpose and dedication.
Award amount: $1,000
Kern Young Farmers and Ranchers Scholarship
The Kern County Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) are excited to offer two $500 collegiate scholarships to full-time students who have completed at least two semesters in an agriculture-related major.
