The Grimm Family Center for Agricultural Business at California State University, Bakersfield provides students with multiple prospects for internships or job opportunities within the center or at the Kern County Farm Bureau. Through this program, students will learn more about an industry that impacts our county and the world, while also learning crucial skills that will enhance their professional careers. Shantal Sanchez Almanza, Social Media Intern

Shantal Sanchez, a first-time freshman at California State University, Bakersfield, is pursuing a Pre-Health major with aspirations to enter the Nursing program and earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her ultimate goal is to become a labor and delivery travel nurse, driven by her passion for supporting mothers and their babies during one of life’s most significant moments. Sanchez is dedicated to her academic journey while also enjoying reading, running, going on walks, visiting the beach, watching movies, enjoying nature, sipping matcha, and exploring photography in her free time.

Crystal Gallegos, Website Intern

Crystal Gallegos started interning at the Grimm Family Center for Agricultural Business halfway through her freshman year at California State University, Bakersfield. Gallegos is an undergraduate student studying Electrical Engineering and aspires to enter the field of Power and Energy. Gallegos has been heavily involved on campus and currently holds the position of Secretary for the club Society of Women Engineers. A fun fact about Gallegos is that she has a collection of marbles that she has been acquiring since the fourth grade.
