What Can You Do With An English Major?

What can you do with an English major? It’s a common question with a simple answer: Live a productive, creative, and fulfilling life. You will learn skills valued everywhere, across hundreds of possible careers and industries. Some of these professional paths exist now, while some will emerge in the future. You may even be among those who create new ways to live and work. Our graduates become teachers, lawyers, and professors, as well as writers and publishers. They go on to work in academia, business, and government, as well as in countless other fulfilling professions. Of course, they begin here--studying the English language and some of the greatest works of literature ever written.
