New Student Convocation is a formal ceremony for incoming CSUB students (freshmen and transfer students) and their families. Just as Commencement (Graduation) celebrates the completion of students' academic journey, Convocation commemorates its beginning.

The New Student Convocation ceremony will create an opportunity for students and parents to be officially recognized and welcomed into the CSUB community. You will hear from our University President, faculty, staff, and student leaders as they convey the importance of students' educational endeavors and CSUB's commitment to supporting you in the achievement of your goals — both inside and outside the classroom.
