  • Students who have a grad check on file with the Office of the Registrar for the summer 2021 or fall 2021 terms are eligible to participate in the Fall Commencement. 
  • The grad check must be received no later than Wednesday, October 6, 2021 to be included on the commencement eligibility list. 
  • Registration will open Friday, October 8, 2021 and close Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:00 p.m.
  • Graduates will receive between 10 guest tickets each.
  • All graduates should RSVP "yes" or "no". This will allow the commencement office to determine additional tickets to graduates attending.
    • Graduates not attending should not RSVP "yes" to get additional tickets to give to friends.
    • Each graduate must put their guests' names and phone numbers during the RSVP. This will be used for contact tracing purposes.

  • Deadline to order is Friday, November 12.
    • Class of 2022 should not use this link to order. The tassels sold will be 2021. Class of 2022 regalia orders will begin in March 2022.
  • Make sure you review the site to order all items at the same time to reduce shipping costs.

Safety Guidelines

  • Masks will be required for all guests ages 3 years and older, graduates, faculty and staff.
  • Per the State of California guidelines, all attendees must present:
    • a vaccination card with the last dosage administered 14 days prior the ceremony date; or
    • a negative COVID test taken 72 hours (3 days) prior to the ceremony.
      • IE: Ceremony on Thursday - Test can be taken Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday prior; Ceremony on Friday - Test can be taken Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday prior.
  • No purses/backpacks of any kind may be brought into the venue.
  • No outside food may be brought into the venue unless for medical needs.
  • No vendors will be inside the venue.
    • The flower and t-shirt vendor will be outside.

Honor Cords - Honors status is determined by your GPA. Students may locate their GPA in the student portal. The Commencement Office doesn't have access to students' GPAs.

summa cum laude
3.9 to 4.0 GPA

magna cum laude
3.6 to 3.89 GPA

cum laude
3.3 to 3.59 GPA

IMPORTANT: It is important that spring 2021 graduates who are applying for graduation after the Grad Check Application Deadline to check on their student portal that their graduation term is Spring 2021. If it states another term besides Sprng 2021, please email to change your graduation final term. This will ensure your name will be on the list that is sent to the Commencement Office to communicate with the graduates.
