Our training offerings include, but are not limited to:
  • Introduction to Conflict Resolution
  • Introduction to Restorative Justice

  • The Art of Active Listening
  • Managing Digital Communication and Conflict
Trainings can also be tailored to your class, club, and/or organization. To request a training, email gkim11@csub.edu.

I was referred to resolve my conflict through the Conflict Resolution program at CSUB. Is my participation mandatory?

No, conflict resolution is a voluntary process. If you do not wish to resolve your conflict through our program, you are not required to participate.

I want to participate in a conflict resolution process. What options are available to me?

Our office offers a variety of conflict resolution processes, which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Mediation
  • Restorative Justice Circles
  • Restorative Conversation and Agreement Meetings
  • One-on-one Coaching
Conflict resolution processes can also be tailored to your situation as well.

Please note that conflict resolution is a voluntary process, and requires the consent of parties involved.

What if my conflict involves an incident of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct?

The university's primary concern is for the safety of its campus community members. Reports involving discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct will be referred to the Office of Civil Rights & Compliance.

A report to the Office of Civil Rights & Compliance does not automatically initiate an Investigation. It provides you with an opportunity to inform the Title IX/DHR Coordinator of your experience and to receive support and information about your options, including proceeding with a Formal Complaint under the Interim CSU Nondiscrimination Policy.
