Personal Training
The personal training program is a free service that employs CSUB students who are Certified Personal Trainers or Junior or Senior PEAK majors preparing to be certified. The Trainers role is to create and organize a fitness program to match your personal health and exercise needs. Services may include, testing and assessment, goal setting, monitored training, proper use of cardiovascular and weight equipment, technique and progression, and nutrition advice.

Sean

Biography:
Sean is a Senior at CSUB and is planning to pursue an MA and a Doctorate in Modernist American Literature. He is a former Karate and MMA athlete, and has been working as a private personal trainer since February 2012.

Juan
Major: Biology

Biography:
Juan is entering his Sophomore year at California State University, Bakersfield. Throughout his life, he has been involved in multiple sports, and has developed a passion for being physically active and helping others maintain their physical well-being. He plans on opening his own fitness facility to help develop and mentor young athletes, as well assist them in constructing a strong base as an individual to help unlock their full potential. He also wants to teach health and physical education in school.

Georgia

Biography:
I am entering CSUB as a junior. Over the past 18 years, I have been a personal trainer and taught group exercise classes. I am very passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. With acquiring my degree and teaching credential, I want to continue inspiring and changing lives.

Biography:
Leo is currently a senior at CSUB. He is an undergraduate student in Physical Education and Kinesiology. After graduating, Leo plans to receive his Personal Training certificate from a reputable association and continue his education in a graduate program in Physical Therapy.

Leanne

Biography:
Leanne is currently in the second year of her Master's degree in Special Education. She completed her undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology at CSUB. Leanne also played for the Women's Soccer team all four years. After completing her playing career, she was an Assistant Coach for the Women's team. Leanne recently completed the ACE Personal Training class and will be certified before the end of the year. Upon graduating with her Masters degree, Leanne plans to start her own business of coaching children with disabilities in multiple sports.

Tony
Major: Kinesiology, Exercise Science

Biography:
Tony is currently a senior at CSUB. He is majoring in Physical Education and Kinesiology. Tony is a former Football Player and Wrestler. He is pursuing a Personal Training Certification from the American Council on Exercise. Upon graduation, Tony is planning on working as a Fire Fighter.
