The SRC offers a variety of classes at various times of the day. These classes are offered at no extra charge to members.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions:

BEGINNING YOGA: Have fun experiencing Yoga for the first time!  Movements are slow and gentle with emphasis on alignment and comfort. This class is suitable for those with little or no experience in the practice of yoga.

SUNRISE YOGA: Get your day off to a positive start!  This class will allow you to practice a series of postures and breathing exercises while focusing on your mind/body awareness.

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED YOGA:  This class is a combination of Hatha and Astanga poses intended for Intermediate to Advanced Yoga students.  It is great for relaxation of the mind, body, and spirit while improving breathing and flexibility.  

BUTTS & GUTS: This 45 minute workout is designed for all levels to increase muscular strength and endurance of the gluteus maximus and abdominal muscles.

BEGINNING PILATES:  This introductory 45 minute class offers a non-intimidating group environment to build a sound foundation in Pilates movement and technique.

PILATES:  A core strengthening, stabilization, and flexibility training class designed to increase muscular endurance, posture, and coordination.

INDOOR CYCLING: This class simulates a variety of terrain and training techniques. These include steep hills, flat roads, interval training, sprints, recovery, race day training and everything in between.

KARATE:  Learn the Art of Self Defense while getting in shape!  The style of Karate we practice is Sanjuriu, an ancient Japanese military art form handed down by Samurai.

STEP AEROBICS: This class is a fun aerobic workout built around choreography designed to increase participants’ cardiovascular fitness levels.

BELLY DANCE: Come and enjoy fast and slow belly dancing moves that you can incorporate into creating a solid core.  This class is for all levels of dancers.

HIP HOP AEROBICS: Rock your body!  Take this dance class for slimming, shaping, and strengthening your body.

PEAK 101 - INDOOR CYCLING*:  Group cardiovascular conditioning using stationary cycles to improve fitness.  Experience hills, flat terrain, and jumps using various sitting and standing positions. It is simple, easy to learn and a great workout.

PEAK 155 - YOGA*:  Yoga is an introductory course that places a strong emphasis on active participation that combines discussion of concepts and postures.  The course focuses on increasing strength and flexibility, relaxation and stress reduction and improved posture and balance.

PEAK 175 - AEROBICS*:  Aerobics is an overall functional fitness course that will include a variety of activities.  Participants will build cardiovascular endurance, strength, and muscular endurance.
