June 15, 2010 - CSU Bakersfield's School of Business and Public Administration today announced a Fast-Track program will be offered beginning in the fall 2010 quarter. The program allows business students to complete a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Management concentration in less than 16 months.
CSUB's business program is one of only 579 business schools internationally accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
"Our courses are taught by university professors who meet AACSB's stringent academic qualifications," said Kathy Carpenter, BPA Academic Advisor. "This ensures program excellence."
Students must have a minimum 2.00 GPA, be in good standing at the last institution attended, and will have completed 60 transferable semester units including all lower division general education and business courses to be eligible for the program.
"Competing universities offer similar accelerated formats, but our Fast-Track program delivers more value with a substantially lower cost," added Carpenter.
The year-round program consists of one online class and two classroom courses each quarter. The program runs for six quarters, beginning September 2010 and ending December 2011.
On-campus courses are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday from 5:20 p.m. to 9:35 p.m.
"Evening classes enable students to work full time while finishing their degree," said Carpenter. "These are regularly scheduled courses so although the Fast-Track cohort will have the comfort of progressing through the courses together, they will also interact with other business students who are not enrolled in the accelerated program."
