What is 60+?

The CSUB 60+ Club, founded in 1986, is made up of people from all walks of life who are concerned citizens, who are active, curious, and have time to pursue lifelong learning. It is a partnership between the University and the local community of retired people. Its purpose is to provide personal enrichment, educational opportunities, volunteer challenges, and social activities in a campus environment(see links to Interest Groups and Action Network at left). A summary of 60+ activities from 1986 to the present can be seen on the History page.

General Club meetings are held on campus at 2 p.m. on the second Thursday, October through May, with a program and refreshments. The December meeting is a luncheon celebrating the holidays and the June meeting is a luncheon and installation of officers for the next year.

"Possibilities Day" is a special meeting held on the second Thursday in September. Click here for information, or contact Alumni Affairs office at 661-654- 3211, or 60plus@csub.edu
