Food Distribution:
Third Monday of the Month, CSUB Parking Lot M

CSUB Housing and Food Security Committee has created a partnership with Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) to provide monthly emergency food assistance on our campus. This resource is being made possible as a result of a study commissioned by Chancellor Timothy White in 2015 to shed light on how CSU campuses were meeting the needs of food insecure students. System-wide study recommendations included:

• Providing access to food and housing for students who are food insecure;

• Developing single points of contact to provide services on campus and off campus;

• Encouraging financial aid staff and campus administrators to become partners in collaborating to provide services for students;

• Developing linkages with ASI and academic programs; and

• Peer support from students with similar experiences to provide resources and social solidarity

Upcoming distributions: TBA
