Admissions: Our application due date for a Fall 2021 start is July 15th, 2021. This is a hard deadline; all materials must be in by this date to be considered for the Fall term.

Upcoming Information Sessions:

  • All documents must be submitted in PDF format, please put your first, last name in all file name.
  • A confirmation of receipt will be sent to the student once the application has been reviewed.
  • Please do not put your Social Security Number (SSN) or date of birth in any of the documents you send, use your CSUB ID instead.

o    Recommendation Forms: please have the individual completing the recommendation form email it directly to Jayme Barton at with your name in the subject line.

o    CSET and CBEST testing is also on hold, luckily we will be able to accept students to the program without this requirement, if they complete an Exceptional Admit (EA) form along with their regular application. We will ask that within the EA you outline a plan for taking these exams as soon as you possibly can. Please include registration dates if possible. It is still a state requirement that you must have completed both of these exams or the equivalent of them prior to your final stage of student teaching, we cannot make exceptions to this rule at this time. *Completion of an Exceptional Admit form does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Interviews: Interviews will be conducted via zoom. If you would like to schedule an interview, please contact Robin Valente at
