Transferring to CSUB from BC or TC

Transfer Course Equivalency Tables

Equivalent prerequisite courses for CSU Bakersfield STEM programs may be identified through and/or the equivalency sheets listed under Bakersfield College or Taft College.

Students who follow a transfer plan based on the equivalency sheets established on this site and quarter advising meetings with the STEM Transfer Specialist, can expect a “seamless transfer” to CSUB.

Note: The Transfer Course Equivalency Tables presented here are non-authoritative. They are for informational purposes only and subject to revision.  Specific course equivalencies require review based upon the unique characteristics of each college and university and may differ from one institution to another.

The Associate of Science Transfer Degree

The Associate of Science-Transfer degree (AS-T) is accepted at CSUB.  Completion of an AS-T degree ensures completion of all lower division Baccalaureate Core (General education) requirements and junior standing for registration.

Although within the STEM Program, it may be more efficient for students to take courses equivalent with the CSUB Baccalaureate Core list, than completing the full AS-T degree.  You may want to use the course equivalences transfer tables and the tools mentioned above to see which courses transfer from your community colleges.

In selecting courses using the transfer equivalencies tables, students should consult the CSUB STEM Transfer Specialist and/or advisors at their community college about the requirements for their baccalaureate major.
