Religious Studies Major Requirements The major in Religious Studies is designed to meet the interest of students who live in a pluralistic society and wish to study the role played by religions in human life and culture. The major is available in two forms, the "standard" major and an "advanced" major, which is recommended for students who plan graduate study in religion. The standard major has a minimum of requirements in order to make it easier for students to double major in RS and some other field. Requirements for the Standard Major in Religious Studies Standard Major1. A minimum of 7 courses, including: a. RS 110 Religion in Western Civilizationb. RS 111 Religion in Asian Cultures c. RS 490 Senior Seminar 2. Completion of an approved minor. Requirements for the Advanced Major in Religious Studies
