The Search For Our Next President
The California State University Board of Trustees has launched a nationwide search for the next president of California State University, Bakersfield.
Following CSU policy, the Chair of the CSU Board of Trustees, Wenda Fong, appointed a Trustees Committee for the selection of the president. The Advisory Committee is composed of representatives from the faculty, staff, students and alumni, as well as a member of a campus advisory board, all of whom are selected by the university's constituency groups per their selection criteria. Also on the Advisory Committee is a vice president or academic dean from the campus and a president of another CSU campus — both selected by the chancellor in consultation with the board chair. Both committees function as one unified group in the search process.

Presidential Search Open Forum
The Presidential Search Open Forum will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Solario de Fortaleza in the Student Recreation Center (SRC).
In-person Public Comment
No pre-registration is required. Members of the CSUB community are welcome to attend and provide comments in person before the committee.
Virtual Public Comment (Registration Required)
If you wish to provide comments virtually during the open forum you will need to register in advance. We welcome and encourage all members of our campus and external community to participate.

No registration is required for those who only want to view or listen to the forum via the livestream. A recording of the open forum will also be posted here after the event.
