Campus Tours

We are so excited that you are interested in visiting CSUB! Tour dates and times vary so please view the Tour Request Form for our most current availability. General tours last about 60 minutes, in which you will be walking but making frequent stops. We highly recommend you check the weather before your visit to find out if you will need a jacket or sunscreen. 

Campus tours meet in front of the Icardo Center (Basketball Stadium). To book a tour, please complete the Campus Tour Request Form and we will respond with an email confirmation within 72 hours. Any requests sent in after 12 p.m. Friday will not be seen until the following Monday. If there are any questions about the tours, please don't hesitate to contact us at 661-654-3138.

Saturday Tours are offered the first Saturday of the month September through May at 10:00AM. If you are interested in visiting us for a Saturday Tour please email us at to reserve your spot. 

If you have pre-arranged plans to visit the Fab Lab or any other labs or offices on campus, you MUST request Tour Option B and list those arrangements under the accommodations section on the tour request from.

Time Frame: 45-60 Minutes

Tour Option C: Rowdy's Home Tour

Time Frame: 1 hour - 1hour 45 minutes

Tour Option D: Rowdy's VIP Tour (MUST book 15 days in advance)

Time Frame: 1 hour 45 minutes - 2 hours

Insurance Certificates & Liability Waiver: As part of our safety practices, all schools and organizations visiting campus must provide valid proof of insurance prior to any campus tour. Excluding all schools in the Kern County School District. Insurance certificates must be submitted to the office of Safety and Risk Management. Individual, small group, and family tours must sign a Release of Liability Waiver prior to any campus tour. Chaperone Contract: In efforts to facilitate a collaborative environment among chaperones and tour guides. Groups larger than 25 students MUST have 1 chaperone per 25 students. All Chaperones attending MUST submit a signed chaperone contract prior to your campus tour. Failure to comply may result in the cancellation of your campus tour.

Parking Information: Tour buses, charter buses, shuttle buses, passenger vans, and town cars cannot stop, unload, idle or park on any street/loop at any time, such vehicles must park in lot I. We advise that guest unload in the parking lot and walk to the Icardo Center. Please note that parking passes for personal vehicles are not provided for tours.

Dining on campus for large groups: If you intend to dine on campus, advance notice is required. Contact University Campus Dining at (661)-654-6987.

Self-Guided Tours: If you are unable to schedule a guided tour or do not feel the need for a tour guide, you are welcome to print out the map below and take a tour of our beautiful campus whenever you are free.
