Kern County Supervisor Debate to Take Place at CSUB

The Walter W. Stiern Library, Political Science Club, Pre-Law Society, and Political Science Department at California State University, Bakersfield will host a debate featuring candidates for Kern County 4th District Supervisor at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Dezember Reading Room at the Stiern Library.  The event is free and open to the public.

Candidates David Couch, Joe Gonzalez and Grace Vallejo will answer CSUB student questions regarding their platforms, policy positions and vision for Kern County’s District 4.

“Decisions made by the Kern County Board of Supervisors have a critical impact on the lives of our students,” said CSUB political science professor Dr. Ivy A.M. Cargile. “CSUB students are excited to bring the community together to learn more about the candidates and their priorities.”

Parking also is free and available in Lots M, K1, K2 and D. Space is limited, so attendees should arrive early to ensure a spot.
