CSUB Faculty Hall of Fame Now Accepting Applications

California State University, Bakersfield’s dedication and commitment to student success wouldn’t be possible without the support and guidance of the CSUB faculty.

Beginning this year, the CSUB Faculty Hall of Fame’s Distinguished Faculty Award will honor selected University professors with a reception in the Dezember Reading Room of the Walter W. Stiern Library.

“This is a way to honor some of those who have devoted their careers to CSUB and to our students, said Walter W. Stiern Library Dean Curt Asher.

In order to be eligible to be nominated for the Faculty Hall of Fame, the faculty member must be retired and fully separated from working at CSUB or deceased.

Nominations may be submitted at csub.libguides.com/FacultyHallofFame. Paper applications are also accepted. Forms can be printed from the website and sent to:

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, March 16.

Honorees will be celebrated and memorialized in the library with the Hall of Fame established on the second floor of the library. A plaque, photograph and abbreviated biography listing the honorees’ achievements will be placed on the wall in the designated area.
