CSUB '15 to Finish' Campaign, Finish College on Time

As part of California State University, Bakersfield’s commitment to student success, which includes graduating in a timely manner, CSUB’s Academic Advising and Resource Center is encouraging students to pledge to participate in the “15 to Finish” campaign.

The campaign encourages CSUB students to graduate on time by completing at least 15 units per semester, or 30 units per year.

“We are trying to get the message to students that if they can stay on track and take 15 units each semester they can graduate in four years. Perseverance and discipline are so important to accomplish goals in life so we want to encourage students to begin these lifestyles now,” said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Jenny Zorn.

While each student is on his or her own course, the “15 to Finish” campaign helps hold students accountable by pledding to themselves about steadily moving toward graduation.

Students can commit to complete by signing a form online at: They also should seek advice from their advisors as to what their individual plan should look like through the remainder of their time at CSUB.

Students can follow the campaign via social media on Instagram @15tofinishcsub and on Facebook at CSU Bakersfield 15 to Finish for updates and contests. Once students successfully complete 30 degree-applicable units at the end of each year, they also can be entered into annual scholarship drawings, earn on-campus incentives, attend special receptions, be entered into prize drawings and own #15TOFINISH items.

“The 15 to Finish campaign is an important informational campaign for students that makes them aware of how many units they need to enroll in per term in order to finish in 4 years.  This campaign falls in line with the campus goals for student success and the graduation initiative,” said Assistant Vice President for Student Success, Vikash Lakhani.

Students who have signed up online are invited to attend the Kick-Off Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, in Alumni Park.
