1965 Grape Strike Event Airs on CSPAN

The CSUB Walter W. Stiern Library and Public History Institute’s symposium on the 1965 Delano Grape Strike will air nationally on CSPAN this weekend.

The panel on "The UFW: Three Perspectives" featuring Dolores Huerta, cofounder of the United Farmworkers Union, scholar Dr. Matt Garcia (Arizona State University and author of From the Jaws of Victory: The Triumph and Tragedy of Cesar Chavez) and journalist Miriam Pawel (author of the Crusades of Cesar Chavez) will air Saturday, October 24 at 10:45 a.m. on CSPAN3's American History TV.

The panel on "The History and Legacy of the Grape Strike" that featured activist Lorraine Agtang and scholars Dr. Dawn Mabalon (San Francisco State University), Dr. Mario Sifuentez (University of California, Merced), and Dr. Todd Holmes (Stanford University) will air Sunday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m. on CSPAN 3's American History TV.
