This year among the performance opportunities available to you are: the University Singers & Chamber Singers Choir Spain Tour from June 10th to the 19th and the Opera Theatre full-length production. Please consider join us, you wouldn’t want to miss it!

We have several ensembles and classes to participate in:

University Singers – MUS 1200/3200

Under the direction of Dr. Angel M. Vázquez-Ramos, the University Singers is open to any student enrolled in the university who enjoys singing. Faculty and community members are also welcomed. No audition required. Meeting time: Monday 7:00PM - 10:00PM in the Music Building room #127.

Chamber Singers – MUS 2200/4200

The Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Angel M. Vázquez-Ramos, is an auditioned ensemble. Performing music from around the world, and from time periods spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century, this is CSUB’s advanced choral ensemble. Open by audition to students registered in the University Singers MUS 1200/3200. Meeting time: Tuesday & Thursday 4:00PM - 5:45PM in the Music Building room #127. Auditions are held before the beginning of each semester in the Music Building room #127. Choose a solo piece to sing.  Anything classical in nature is fine (no pop or musicals).  If you are unable to prepare a classical solo, something as simple as "My Country Tis of Thee" would also be fine.

Opera Theatre – MUS 2210/4210

Singers have the exciting opportunity to expand their repertoire and gain performance experience by participating in CSUB’s Opera Theatre Program. Productions are fully-staged and costumed, and vary from nights of scenes (drawn from both operas and musical theatre) to full-length operas. This fall semester, CSUB Opera Theatre presents a full production. Auditions are held before the beginning of each semester in the Music Building room #127. Please bring one piece. We will provide a pianist for the audition. If you'd like to rehearse before the audition, you may contact Ryan Ramming at Dr. Soo-Yeon Park, director.
