New Account Provisioning

When a new Student, Staff, or Faculty get to campus They are added into the CSUB records application PeopleSoft and new accounts are provisioned.

NetIDs and Passwords

HR will enter your information into the HR system, once your new hire paperwork is completed.  This action triggers an automated process that will generate your CSUB ID (Employee ID), Net ID and your default password. Your default password is your birth year followed by the last 4 digits of your SSN.

For Example:
Birth Year: 1980
SSN: 123-456-7890
Password is: 19807890

Email and Calendaring

Mobile Devices

ITS aims to provide mobile computing for all appropriate technologies.  For details on if a specific service can be utilized on a mobile device, please contact the Help Desk at (661) 654-2307.

Your phone is connected to our campus telephone network.  This network is owned, operated, and maintained by our campus.  Depending on your phone setup, you can place local, long-distance, and international phone calls.  To place calls from the campus network, just dial the last four digits of the desired person’s phone number.  To place call off campus, you must dial a 9 first. Desktop Applications

Desktop applications refer to the software or computer programs that run on the computer at your desk or on your laptop.  Common desktop applications include Microsoft Office, Adobe products, etc.
