CSUB Counseling Center FAQ for Fall 2021
How can I make an appointment? Appointments will be made by phone only. You must call the counseling center at 654-3366 to schedule an appointment. We are located inside the Student Health Center building. An appointment and clearance from the CSUB COVID-19 screening will be required to enter the building. www.csub.edu/covid-screen/ or use the CSUB mobile app. Is the Counseling Center seeing students in person? Appointments will be over the phone, on zoom or in person. For students that are coming in person, a mask must always be worn (even during your session). You can find additional information about the in person protocol on the In Person Appointment Protocol Sheet. What are the Counseling Centers hours? Monday through Friday 8am-5pm What if I can’t reach someone when I call? Sometimes we are on the other line. Please leave a voicemail when you call, and you call will be returned as soon as possible. What if I am in crisis? When you reach our voicemail, you can press #2 to be transferred to our crisis hotline. You may also contact community resources (i.e. 911 for life threatening emergency, UPD 654-2111, crisis hotline 1-800-991-5272, or visit the Crisis Stabilization Unit at the Mary K. Shell Mental Health Center (2151 College Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93305). |
