Camps, Activities and Programs at California State University, Bakersfield. CSUB provides summer programs and events to participants of all ages, including 4-year old to pre-college adults, college bound participants and more!

Academic

Nation-wide events and programs including, but not limited to high school, pre-college, and late-start groups, youth development opportunities, reading institute programs, STEM education, and Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP).

Non-Academic

International and nation-wide programs including, but not limited to Intensive English Learning Program, community collaborated events, family reunions, business retreats, church and leadership activities.

Sport

Some annual camps may be postponed during the 2018 summer due to Icardo Center renovation. Others will be relocated to the Student Recreation Center.

Camps and Programs Request Form

All space reservation requests remain tentative until all necessary documentation has been obtained and the reservation is confirmed. Reservation request must be submitted 4 weeks prior to the program date(s).

Locations & Facilities

Conference Rooms: Fully equipped meeting, board, and training rooms for any business occasion.

Academic Classrooms: Classrooms vary in size and capacity. They are available throughout the academic year.

Courts/Gym: Research has shown that physical activity has a positive impact on student academic achievement in all academic stages.

Outdoor Venues: The Open Outdoor Venues provide events and participants with a wide area of space for booths, vendors, and attractions.

Doré Theater: The Doré Arena Theatre is a flexible, black box space located behind the mainstage and is used as a theatre classroom and for intimate performances. It is the venue for our Theatre for Young Audiences performances, senior projects, and one main season play each year.

Aquatic Pool: The beautiful John S. Hillman Memorial Aquatic Center, located on the California State University, Bakersfield campus, is the practice and competition facility of the swimming/diving teams and water polo teams.
